- Maintaining and developing automated test suites, aiming for constant improvement
- Preventing bugs and issues by thinking of relevant scenarios that can help meet the validation of acceptance criteria at the story development stage
- Contributing to planning sessions with estimations and timelines
- Devising and carrying out both manual and automated testing to ensure the quality of the software under test
- Helping keep our CI pipelines healthy
- Working closely with your team to ensure all testing, manual or automated, is accurately planned within the overall agreed timeframes of the project - helping to embed quality as early as possible
- Adopting logical approaches to tasks
Requirements
We're looking for a motivated Junior QA Tester to join our Engineering team. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their QA career who wants to build hands-on experience in a supportive, Agile environment. You will be joining a team of 25+ engineers in the UK across web, mobile and data, within a global team of 50+ engineers. As a Junior Test Engineer you will be ensuring features are tested in an automated fashion to ensure maximum coverage to give our users the best possible experience. You know how testing fits within an agile environment and have an excellent attention to detail and are passionate about quality. Your role will form part of our full stack agile teams collaborating with Product, UI and Backend engineers., * Around 1 year of experience in a QA or testing role (desirable, not essential)
- Basic knowledge of test automation concepts and tools
- Working knowledge of JavaScript
- Understanding of an Agile development environment
- Good communication skills and a keen eye for detail
- A willingness to learn and grow as a QA professional
