Job description
As an IT Technical Sales Support Engineer, you will split your time between delivering high-quality IT support to clients (including projects and service desk requests) and supporting business development by attending meetings with prospective clients and creating proposals and quotes. In the sales aspect, you will provide technical expertise, demonstrate solutions, assess client needs, and help articulate how our services can address their challenges-contributing directly to winning new business., To manage a varied workload of technical projects, service desk tickets, and pre-sales activities-ensuring timely project delivery, efficient ticket resolution in line with SLAs, and effective support for business development to help secure new clients., * Implement technical solutions for client and internal projects.
- Provide remote technical support via email, telephone, and remote tools to diagnose and resolve client end-user issues quickly.
- Deliver on-site support, including hardware/software installations and configurations.
- Specify, recommend, configure, and implement equipment (e.g., desktops, servers, printers) and software to meet client requirements.
- Support other team members with technical escalations and knowledge sharing.
- Contribute to standard configurations, documentation, and procedures to improve efficiency.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
- Liaise with 3rd party vendors and suppliers on behalf of clients.
- Attend meetings with prospective clients to provide technical pre-sales support: assess IT needs, demonstrate solutions, explain technical benefits, and assist in proposing tailored services to help close new business., The role is mix of remote work, visits to our office with regular client site visits across Lancashire and Manchester. 37.5 hours per week: Monday-Friday, 8.30am-5.00pm (1-hour unpaid lunch). Occasional overtime/out-of-hours work may be required to complete projects (paid).
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driving Licence license?, Do you have experience in macOS?, This is a key client-facing role requiring strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving, and the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to non-technical audiences. We are seeking a motivated individual eager to develop their technical knowledge while playing an active part in growing the company.

- Good knowledge of networking technologies (e.g., LAN/WAN, DHCP, firewalls).
- Experience in customer service, building relationships, and communicating technically with non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to present ideas clearly and confidently in client meetings.
- Familiarity with helpdesk/PSA/RMM systems and quick adaptation to new tools., * Exceptional multitasking and prioritisation skills.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills (essential for client-facing sales support).
- Strong time management and organisational abilities.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional.
- Accurate record-keeping.
Required Experience
- Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure.
- 1+ years in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) or similar IT support environment.
- Experience in client-facing roles or technical presentations (desirable).
Required Licence/Certifications
- Full UK Driving Licence (with own vehicle) - business mileage fully reimbursed., * Do you have a current driving licence and ownership of a personal vehicle?
