Job description

A leading global investment bank is seeking an Executive Director to lead its AI and Automation Transformation agenda. This role will be responsible for shaping and delivering AI- and automation-enabled change across the bank, with a focus on improving customer outcomes, operational efficiency, and enterprise-wide capability.

This is a senior transformation role requiring strong experience delivering complex change programmes within investment banking. The successful candidate will combine strategic leadership with practical delivery expertise and will act as a bridge between business, technology, and senior leadership., * Define and execute a clear transformation roadmap aligned to business and regulatory priorities

  • Oversee multiple concurrent workstreams, ensuring delivery discipline and measurable outcomes
  • Partner closely with technology, data, operations, and change teams to shape and prioritise AI use cases
  • Engage senior executives and operational leaders to drive alignment, adoption, and sustained change
  • Build and lead high-performing teams, with responsibility for talent development and performance management

Requirements

  • Proven experience delivering large-scale AI- or automation-enabled transformation programmes within banking
  • Strong understanding of banking operations and the regulatory environment
  • Solid working knowledge of AI concepts (e.g. machine learning, NLP, generative or agentic AI), without the need for hands-on coding
  • Extensive programme leadership experience, managing complex portfolios with multiple workstreams
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead change across diverse business areas
  • Experience leading and developing teams in complex, fast-moving environments
  • Track record of working with data, analytics, or innovation teams to translate emerging technology into practical business outcomes
