Job description
- Providing 3rd-line network & security support, acting as an escalation point for challenging issues
- Delivering both BAU support and project work across customer sites and internal operations
- Proactively monitoring and maintaining managed systems
- Owning and resolving complex technical problems using tools such as Wireshark, NetFlow analysis, and monitoring platforms
- Managing patching, feature updates, change controls, and documentation
- Mentoring service desk engineers to uplift overall capability

Requirements
- Strong experience in an MSP or enterprise IT environment
- Deep knowledge of networking principles including Layer 2 & 3 routing and switching
- Proficiency in OSPF & BGP (essential)
- Experience with VXLAN & Cisco ACI
- Familiarity with dual stack IPv4/IPv6
- Knowledge of wireless technologies: Aruba, Cisco Meraki
- Experience with Azure & AWS networking
- Proficiency in VMware / Hyper-V environments
- Expertise in FortiGate firewalls with full UTM stack (Web Filtering, Application Control, IPS/IDS, SD-WAN)
- Experience with FortiManager & FortiAnalyzer
- Familiarity with SIEM technologies (Darktrace, Reveal(x))
- Knowledge of infrastructure monitoring (PRTG preferred)
- Proficiency in Python / PowerShell scripting
- Experience with Terraform for automation
- Understanding of ITSM processes aligned to ITIL framework
- Cisco CCNP certification (minimum knowledge level expected, desirable but not essential)
- Fortinet / Aruba / PRTG vendor certifications (desirable but not essential)
- ITIL Foundation certification (desirable but not essential)
