Job description

  • Manage a set of datasets that support various digital products and services.
  • Ensure the quality of datasets and provide support to the wider business.
  • Identify and implement data improvements while performing maintenance activities on the datasets.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share ideas and experiences to achieve success.
  • Plan, allocate, and manage workloads for yourself and other team members.

Requirements

  • A qualification in GIS or a data-related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Practical experience working in a data analysis, data curation, or GIS-focused data role.
  • Experience developing ETL/ELT processes and following best data governance practices.
  • Proficient in problem-solving and finding efficiencies in data pipelines using FME Form and FME Flow.
  • Knowledge and experience in programming languages such as SQL and Python (or similar).
  • Practical experience with database technologies such as Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL/GIS is a distinct bonus.
  • Experience with cloud-based data tooling/storage is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with FME (Form or Flow) is required.
