Job description
The Governance Manager works with the Director, Membership Services and Governance to support the organisation and delivery of IGU's Governance Meetings. The Governance Manager is accountable for creating meeting agendas, pre-reads, and presentations, and for capturing meeting minutes to ensure maximum membership value. The Manager is also accountable for managing the meeting registration systems.
The Governance Manager works with the Hosts of the Governance meetings to ensure compliance with IGU Governance meeting standards.
The Governance Manager is expected to work from the IGU's London Office at least 4 days per week., Works with the Director, Membership Services and Governance to develop the schedule of Governance Meetings, provide input to the Annual Business Plan and Budget, and deliver efficient, innovative Governance meeting agendas that enhance membership value.
· Maintains clear communication with members regarding upcoming Governance Meetings, Agendas, and related materials.
· As a member of the Secretariat Team, contributes recommendations on how to enhance the overall membership value.
· Works with the hosts of Governance Meetings to create the necessary tools to ensure the meetings are well organised and deliver maximum value to the membership.
· Oversees meetings logistics, including the preparation of the registration desk, setup of meeting rooms, setup of the AV system and seating plans.
· Builds and maintains active and positive relationships with members and the broader IGU community.
· Measures, maintains and monitors member Governance Meeting satisfaction.
· Prepares, with the Director of Membership Services and Governance, the different reading materials and presentations for the governance meetings.
· Develops and conducts membership voting at Governance Meetings.
· Develops and maintains, as required, meeting Apps.
· As required, supports the Manager, Membership Services.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Project management?, · Minimum of 2-3 years of events management experience
· Comfortable working with C-Suite and upper management executives and hosts
· Excellent organisational skills
· Proficient in Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Creative Cloud tools user experience
· Self-starter team player
· A relevant college diploma in international relations or similar would be preferred
Travel:
International travel is required, so all applicants must hold a valid Passport with a minimum validity date of one year.
