Job description

  • In this role, you will lead the full lifecycle of low-code/no-code application solutions, from requirements gathering to deployment, governance, and support. You will collaborate with business units to identify opportunities for automation and digital enablement, improving operational efficiency and data accuracy. You will oversee a small internal team consisting of a Business/Data Analyst, Software Developer, and HR Systems Engineer, alongside two external managed services. Additionally, you will drive application standardisation across business units to reduce duplication and simplify the portfolio.
  • Your responsibilities will also include managing and governing the SharePoint environment, ensuring effective architecture, permissions, and content lifecycle management. You will oversee the Snowflake data warehouse, ensuring reliable data integrations and performance monitoring. Furthermore, you will own vendor relationships for key managed services such as COINS and UKG Time & Attendance, ensuring service performance aligns with business priorities. Supporting M&A activities will involve leading the migration and integration of applications and associated data while establishing governance frameworks, standards, and best practices for application development and management. You will also ensure security, scalability, and enterprise alignment for all applications and digital workflows and promote shared frameworks, templates, and components across business systems to accelerate delivery and consistency.

  • Snowflake, We are a well-established and highly profitable construction engineering business currently seeking an experienced IT Applications Manager to join us on a permanent basis. This is a critical leadership role within our organisation, which is undergoing significant digital transformation with ambitious growth and acquisition plans that drive the demand for scalable, standardised, and efficient business applications. You will report directly to the Head of IT and blend strategic oversight with hands-on expertise in modern low-code/no-code platforms while directly leading a multidisciplinary applications team., The IT Applications Manager will oversee a suite of core enterprise systems, including, but not limited to, Workday, UKG (Kronos), COINS, SharePoint, Snowflake, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Pro-Sapien, and Primavera P6. Initially, this role will require you to be onsite in Central London four days a week, dropping to three once you pass probation.

Requirements

  • We are seeking candidates with strong experience in low-code/no-code platforms. You should have a proven ability to lead and deliver change management initiatives across business systems. Familiarity with application standardisation and rationalisation across various business units is essential. Additionally, you will benefit from having leadership experience managing cross-functional teams and vendor relationships. You should be skilled in business process mapping, workflow automation, and data modelling, along with having a strong understanding of IT governance, compliance, and security principles. While ITIL certification and experience in ITIL change management are ideal, we also value experience in user enablement, training, and digital adoption.
