Job DescriptionNetwork Installation Engineer - CiscoLondon & Home Counties | £35,000-£45,000 DOE + vehicle + benefitsWe're looking for a hands-on Network Installation & Commissioning Engineer to join a leading home automation and AV integrator in London. This is a site-based role focused on deploying, configuring, and commissioning Cisco-based network infrastructure for luxury residential and commercial projects.This is not an IT support or service desk role. You'll be on-site, physically installing and configuring networks, ensuring performance, reliability, and integration with client systems.The roleYou'll take ownership of network installations, working with switches, routers, firewalls, VLANs, and wireless controllers. You'll collaborate with project managers and engineers, follow technical designs, and maintain detailed documentation.What you'll be doingInstalling and commissioning Cisco network equipment (switches, routers, firewalls, wireless access points)Rack and stack of

networking hardware, structured cabling, and patchingConfiguring VLANs, routing, VPNs, and wireless controllers per designTesting and troubleshooting network performance and connectivityMaintaining accurate site documentation and as-built network diagramsLiaising with project managers, lead engineers, and vendors to ensure seamless deliveryApplying best practice for network security and reliability What we're looking forEssential:Proven hands-on experience installing and commissioning Cisco network hardwareStrong understanding of TCP/IP networking, DHCP, DNS, NAT, QoS, and VLANsLayer 2/3 switching and routing experience; VPN configuration and wireless controller knowledgeAbility to follow technical designs and troubleshoot complex network issues on-siteExperience with structured cabling and rack installationsFull UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client sitesDesirable:Cisco certifications (CCNA required, CCNP advantageous)Experience with other enterprise-grade network systems (Meraki, Ruckus, UniFi, etc.)Knowledge of firewall configuration and cybersecurity best practices Why this role stands outWork on high-end residential and commercial projects across London & Home CountiesHands-on, site-based role with real responsibility for network deliveryCompetitive salary (£35-45k DOE) with company vehicle, laptop, phone, and benefitsClear career progression into senior technical or leadership rolesSupport for Cisco certifications and ongoing professional development Apply confidentially via this advert.
