Job description

  • Deliver 1st / 2nd Line IT Support to schools and education customers.
  • Manage and enhance IT systems, networks, and infrastructure for optimal performance.
  • Conduct on-site visits across the North West to provide technical support and strategic guidance.
  • Quickly troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Collaborate with educational staff and corporate clients to identify and implement tailored IT solutions.

  • Windows, We are looking for an IT Support Engineer who is seeking varied work and is tired of being confined to an office all day, every day. You will join one of the UK's best IT solutions providers, where we prioritize your development through superb training plans and a supportive team environment. In this role, you will be an integral part of a Service Desk team, assisting various schools in the North West both remotely and on-site. With a competitive salary range of £26,000 - £31,000, excellent benefits including bespoke system training and support for Microsoft certifications, we encourage you to apply if you feel that you have the right attributes for this position.

Requirements

  • Current DBS or a clean background in order to be provided with one.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of IT support experience, ideally within educational institutions (experience with corporate clients is an advantage).
  • Technical Expertise: Proficient in network management, cloud platforms (Office 365, Google Workspace), and server administration (Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP).
  • Specialized Skills: Experience with educational tech systems (e.g., MIS, Paxton Systems).
  • Additional Tools: Skilled in Mac management, MDM platforms (e.g., Jamf), and print management tools.
  • Problem Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Communication: A customer-focused approach with excellent communication skills for engaging with educators and business professionals.
  • Travel: A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle for regular travel across the North West.
