Enjoy a flexible, innovative work environment with amazing benefits., We're looking for a Lead UX Designer to shape how users experience Scandit's technology - designing intuitive, efficient workflows and mobile app experiences that help people do their best work. This is a hands-on, highly experienced design role: you'll be the senior design voice on your product area, guiding quality and mentoring teammates while staying deeply involved in the craft. You'll join a cross-functional team working closely with product managers and engineers to bring human-centered design to enterprise-scale solutions.
- Lead UX design for one or more Scandit product areas, including mobile app experiences, shaping workflows from early concept through implementation.
- Translate complex technical capabilities into simple, powerful user experiences by creating clear user flows, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for industries such as retail, logistics, and healthcare.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, tech leads, and QA to ensure designs are delivered faithfully and meet user experience goals.
- Partner with our research specialists to plan and conduct user studies and usability testing, running lightweight studies independently when needed.
- Own and evolve Scandit's product design system, ensuring our products are cohesive, intuitive, and effective across platforms.
- Guide the visual direction of your product area and maintain alignment with Scandit's brand identity.
Requirements
- 8+ years in UX design, with a strong background in mobile products.
- Expertise in iOS and Android design patterns and accessibility best practices.
- Proficiency in modern design tools like Figma and design systems., * 8+ years as a UX Designer in SaaS, enterprise, or technology-focused environments; startup or consultancy experience is a plus.
- Completed degree in Product Design, Interaction Design, UX Design, or equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrated experience delivering end-to-end UX solutions - from research and concepting to detailed design and implementation - especially for mobile products.
- Proven expertise in iOS and Android design patterns and accessibility best practices.
- Proficiency in modern design tools (Figma), design systems, and component libraries, including AI-assisted prototyping.
- Hands-on experience working collaboratively in cross-functional product teams with Product, Engineering, and Enterprise Success.
- Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset; you share work early, invite feedback, and help create a culture of open dialogue and continuous learning.
- Comfortable leading through craft expertise and influence - this is a senior individual contributor role, not a management position.
- Fluent in English and German.
- Occasional travel may be required for field research or onsite collaboration.
Nice to have: Experience designing Augmented Reality (AR) or camera-based mobile interactions.
