Job description
We're seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our development function, oversee system architecture, and contribute directly to product direction. This is a key leadership position within a growing SaaS and hospitality technology business.
You'll be equally comfortable managing a cross-functional engineering team, guiding architectural decisions, and shaping the product roadmap. This role sits at the intersection of technical delivery and product management - ideal for someone passionate about building scalable, secure, and user-focused systems., Engineering Leadership & Delivery
- Work with our CTO to lead a team of software engineers across frontend, backend, and infrastructure disciplines.
- Plan and deliver iterations within an agile framework, balancing speed and quality.
- Establish and maintain engineering standards, coding practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ensure consistent system reliability, scalability, and security oversight in production systems.
- Support engineers' professional development through mentoring, one-to-ones, and performance reviews.
Technical Architecture & Strategy
- Own the technical roadmap and system architecture, ensuring it aligns with long-term business goals.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies to future-proof the platform.
- Oversee integrations with third-party services (e.g. payments, channel managers, BI tools).
- Maintain architectural documentation and promote a culture of technical excellence.
Inbound Product Management
- Partner with leadership and commercial teams to gather and refine product requirements.
- Translate customer, market, and operations feedback into actionable feature requests.
- Prioritise the engineering backlog according to value, effort, and strategic outcomes.
- Balance innovation with operational stability, driving continuous improvement across platforms.
- Collaborate with UX and data teams to deliver features that enhance customer and partner experience.
Requirements
Do you have experience in SaaS?, Must have experience:
- Proven experience managing software engineering teams and complex web applications.
- Strong background in SaaS product development, ideally in hospitality, e-commerce, or property tech.
- Excellent communicator who can bridge technical and business discussions.
- Passionate about measurable impact and delivering great digital products.
- Security and compliance
- Experience in modernising legacy systems towards service orientated architectures.
- Experience contributing to roadmaps or managing inbound product processes.
Nice to have experience:
Deep technical understanding of relevant web technologies
- .Net / C# (, WebAPIs, background services)
- Entity framework / data access across large long lived codebases
- Frontend Technologies including , Razror and React
- Sql, including MySQL and SQL server.
Familiarity with distributed systems and cloud architecture
- API driven systems
- Message queues such as rabbitmq
- CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Devops, Bitbucket)
- Cloud infrastructure, Azure, IIS, Linux
