Job description

As the position will require regular visits to customer sites, a UK driving licence is essential.

Duties will include (but will not be limited to):

  • The provision of technical and operational support to all external clients
  • Monitoring the company Helpdesk to ensure that customer SLAs are met
  • Support and installation of the following Desktop and Server Operating Systems: Windows 11, Windows Server 2016 - 2022
  • Installation and configuration of all PC workstations and associated software packages
  • Management of Microsoft 365 and Google Cloud Services
  • Deploying and administering iOS and other mobile devices through Intune and other MDM solutions
  • Administering Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, WSUS, RDS, and network printing
  • WLAN/LAN installation and troubleshooting using physical and software techniques
  • Supporting current virtualisation technologies such as Hyper-V and VMware
  • Demonstrating good knowledge of backup and antivirus systems and applications
  • Performing preventative and corrective maintenance on all ICT equipment
  • Performing computer updates and replacements, including maintaining ICT inventories.
  • Maintaining interactive screens, projectors, and interactive screens.
  • Proactively assessing equipment and help create replacement programmes for budgeting.

We are looking for an individual with upwards of 3 years' experience working in IT support. The successful candidate will be part of the ICT support team and will provide IT services to education and business customers, using both remote access systems and by attending on-site visits., * At least 3 years relevant experience working within a support or hosting operations environment

  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Server Operating Systems
  • Virtualisation technologies including VMWare and Hyper-V
  • VLANs and VPN configuration
  • Server-based client services (Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, NPS, GPO's)
  • Server & Infrastructure hardware
  • Firewalls and Switch configurations
  • Apple MacOS and iOS
  • RMM Tools such as Atera or SuperOps

Desirable Criteria:

  • Microsoft Server / Desktop Certifications
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Azure Cloud Compute
  • Intune and Autopilot
  • PowerShell scripting
  • ITIL Foundation v3 or at least an understanding of ITIL and its importance in the world of IT.

They will show excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate easily, clearly, and politely with end users with various levels of IT literacy.
