Job description

Following an internal promotion we now have the exciting opportunity for a Senior Infrastructure Specialist to join our Enterprise Infrastructure team. This role will provide the successful candidate the opportunity to develop their technical skills within a wide ranging area of Infrastructure Services and play an active role in the ongoing development of Technology products within the NHS in Leicestershire.

The role is based on site Gwendolen House with the requirement to travel between sites as required. Access to a car with business class insurance is essential., * The post holder will work with the team in managing the server Operations of the organisation running both Microsoft and Linux.

  • The post holder will work with the team in managing the WAN, LAN including Wireless Infrastructure HSCN connections, VOIP telephony and Internet, including security.
  • The post holder will be expected to act a the technical lead on IT Infrastructure Projects.
  • To have overall responsibility to ensure that a service to clients is delivered in accordance with LHIS and LPT Trust standards and values. The post holder will provide good leadership and management of resources, to develop and sustain a positive working culture.
  • To be influential within the organisation and provide detailed advice to others internally and externally to the organisation, within their sphere of competence.
  • To work collaboratively with other LHIS staff and clients as appropriate.
