Job description
As a Functional Application Manager, you are responsible for managing and optimizing functional engineering applications used across the organization. You act as the key link between business users, IT, and external solution providers, contributing both to daily operational support and to the strategic development of applications. You play an important role in translating business needs into clear functional specifications and in shaping the application roadmap for continuous improvement.
Specific duties in this role include:
- Developing and improving functional specifications for existing and new applications.
- Ensuring smooth execution and performance of applications in daily operations.
- Analysing incidents and functional issues in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Reporting bugs and coordinating solutions with external suppliers and software vendors.
- Advising stakeholders on the impact of issues and proposed solutions.
- Verifying and validating delivered solutions and functional enhancements.
- Providing functional support and guidance to end users.
- Testing application enhancements and changes prior to deployment.
- Contributing to application documentation, including user guides and training materials.

- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a corporate or staff department environment.
- Experience in application maintenance within a technical, engineering, or manufacturing setting.
- Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
- Previous experience with 3DEXPERIENCE and/or SAP is considered a strong advantage.
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English. Dutch language skills are a strong asset.
