Job description
As a Senior Automation QA Engineer (JavaScript), you will help ensure product quality by driving scalable test automation across web and mobile platforms. This role focuses on shaping QA strategy, influencing delivery outcomes, and enabling faster, more reliable releases through close collaboration with engineering teams. You will have strong ownership over quality practices, clear opportunities for professional growth, and a meaningful impact on how automation, CI/CD, and Agile QA methodologies are embedded into the development lifecycle.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Create and execute automation scripts for repeated tests;
- Design, test, and deploy effective test automation solutions using automation tools;
- Automate testing efforts with a minimal amount of code to optimize the testing process;
- Implement appropriate automation techniques to meet short- and long-term testing goals;
- Partner closely with Operations and QA Lead to implement overall testing and automation strategy;
- Participate in planning and strategy meetings for key initiatives;
- Develop milestones, test plans, and publish reports;
- Identify automation opportunities and increase automation coverage;
- Work with engineers and project leads to triage and prioritize issues;
- Analyze requirements, use cases, and design documents from a testing perspective;
- Create, execute, and maintain automation tests;
- Contribute to the automation framework;
- Log, review, and triage defects for strategic initiatives;
- Assist with production issues and live site testing when needed;
- Perform exploratory testing as needed.
Requirements

- Proven experience creating test strategies and test plans;
- Expertise in identifying the scope of automation and driving automation test development;
- Experience with API testing;
- Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, Java, or Python;
- Experience with Playwright, Selenium, PHPUnit, and Jest;
- Experience with Postman;
- Experience with mobile automation testing tools for Android and iOS;
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, BitBucket, GitHub, and GitHub Actions;
- Ability to analyze bug reports, prioritize tests, and streamline applications through automated testing;
- Detail-oriented approach when testing web and mobile applications;
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team;
- Strong verbal & written communication skills;
- Willingness to work extended hours and occasionally outside business hours;
- Upper-intermediate English level.

- Experience with e-commerce applications.
