Backend Developer

The Backend Developer will be part of a team responsible for developing and maintaining digital inspection solutions using electric grid imagery to detect equipment defects and optimize maintenance operations. The role involves active participation across all development phases, including design, development, testing, deployment, and monitoring of backend services.

Your Role

The Backend Developer will design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable backend services while collaborating closely with product managers and cross-functional teams. The role includes contributing to microservices architecture, implementing monitoring and alerting mechanisms, troubleshooting production issues, and continuously improving engineering practices to enhance platform performance and reliability., This role requires a motivated and open-minded Backend Developer who can work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to building high-quality, scalable backend solutions while ensuring system reliability and performance.

• strong proficiency in French and English, with excellent oral and written communication skills
• Mandatory onsite work: 3 days per week at the customer office in Toulouse, France.
• Master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field
• 5+ years of experience as a Backend Developer
• Strong proficiency in Python (TypeScript is a plus)
• Hands-on experience with microservices architecture
• Experience with Kafka and large-scale data processing
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment

Preferred

• Experience with GIS (Geographic Information Systems)
• Exposure to monitoring and alerting tools
• Experience working in Agile environments
• Prior experience in cloud-based platforms or distributed systems
