2nd / 3rd Line IT Engineer

We are looking for a 2nd / 3rd Line IT Engineer to support our Azure and private cloud environments, including Entra ID, Intune, and Microsoft 365.

This is an ideal opportunity for a strong 2nd Line engineer who is ready to step into a more 3rd Line-focused role, gaining exposure to complex cloud, infrastructure, and security technologies.

You will act as an escalation point for our service desk teams, providing expert technical support across both public and private cloud platforms, as well as internal product-related infrastructure issues., * Support and maintain Azure, Entra ID, Intune, and Microsoft 365 environments

• Troubleshoot and resolve OS, networking, security, and cloud infrastructure issues
• Work with hypervisors, SAN storage, networking, and cybersecurity platforms
• Support software platforms including MS SQL, IIS, and cloud-hosted applications
• Provide escalation support for internal teams and product-related service desk issues
• Participate in a private cloud on-call rota (approx. 1 week in every 3)

Do you have experience in VMware?, * Previous experience in 2nd / 3rd Line IT support

• Windows Server 2019 or later
• Entra ID and Intune
• SQL Server 2019 or later

• Microsoft certifications
• Dell Compellent or PowerStore storage experience
• Fortinet firewall experience
• Sophos Central experience
• SQL Always On
• IIS clusters
• Network Load Balancing
• VLANs & routing
• Hypervisors (VMware / Hyper-V)
• Server and network hardware experience
