Job description

As a Delivery Manager you will be responsible for creating the right environment for your multidisciplinary team to succeed, helping them to self-organize whilst fostering a culture of learning and transparency. You'll be a key part of one of the UK's biggest and most high-profile digital transformation programs whilst maintaining the stability of a critical national infrastructure.

You will ensure the successful execution of technology projects by coordinating teams, managing timelines, and aligning deliverables with business goals. You'll act as the bridge between your technical teams and stakeholders, ensuring smooth delivery from concept to completion. This role combines project management, technical leadership, and service delivery oversight to drive customer satisfaction and operational efficiency., * Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of software or infrastructure projects on time and within budget.

  • Lead cross-functional teams including developers, architects, engineers, service desk engineers and operations teams.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and outcomes to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify potential pitfalls and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Advocate for agile practices and continuous improvement across delivery teams.
  • Oversee smooth handover from project delivery to live service operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of project progress and outcomes.
  • Lead end to end delivery of complex software or application projects, often involving multiple workstreams
  • Co-ordinate cross functional teams, managing dependencies and technical delivery timelines
  • Engage with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring delivery is technically sound

Requirements

  • 5+ years knowledge of a broad range of Cloud technologies, preferably AWS (eg, EC2, RDS, ELB, EBS, EFS, S3, VPC, Glacier, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS)
  • Proficient with Git, Jira, Confluence, and ServiceNow for incident and change management.
  • 10+ years of hands-on delivery experience working on digital or technology projects at a leading consultancy, agency, or government organization.
  • Ability to manage incident, problem, change management processes and evidenced hands-on delivery experience.
  • Proven capability of working successfully with senior client stakeholders and end-users, quickly building successful relationships, and establishing credibility.
  • Passion for digital and technology, with the drive and determination to continually learn new things and develop yourself and others.
  • Strong written, presentation, and verbal communication skills, with a high degree of attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to work independently in a highly collaborative, team-based environment.
