Cyber Security Specialist

• Mentor and provide technical escalation support to security team members
• Conduct security design reviews and apply security principles across high and low-level designs
• Engineer and maintain cloud-native security solutions in Azure and AWS (GCP desirable)
• Develop Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools

• Enhance log ingestion, correlation, and alerting workflows across multiple data sources

We are a leading UK financial services organisation offering a key role as a Principal Cyber Security Specialist within our security function. This position focuses on architecting and implementing security automation, platform engineering, and Zero Trust principles across both cloud and on-premise environments. • 5 years in Security Engineering, Security Automation, or DevSecOps
• Strong experience with security tooling, automation, and cloud security in Azure/AWS
• Hands-on with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible) and securing CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel, Rapid7 IDR)
• Experience with container security (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architectures
• Familiarity with threat intelligence platforms and their integration into security operations
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
