The Senior Systems Administration Support (Windows OS) is responsible for the administration and operational support for servers, workstations and applications in a Windows Active Directory environment. The candidate must be able to coordinate, troubleshoot and oversee system backups, hardware installation, software installation, and system upgrades. The position will require individuals to solve complex technology problems, providing solutions and mentorship to internal and external customers that will have a positive impact on the day-to-day efficiencies. Maintain exceptional conduct, discipline, and communicate effectively with a diverse work force to perform assigned tasks. This position is contingent upon successful contract award to V2X. #clearance #LI-LN1 Responsibilities Major Job Activities: + Operates and maintains all aspects of server administration to include, but is not limited to, Active Directory Organization Units (OU), objects (Users, Computers, MAB), security groups, Windows File Server, Network Policy Server (NPS), Domain Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), Print Server, Internet Information Services (IIS), Application Servers and Microsoft Exchange. + Knowledge of configuring and troubleshooting Microsoft servers on NIPR, SIPR, and other supported enclaves. + Management of Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM), Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM). + Utilize virtualization software to conduct snapshots and monitor system availability. + Perform regular maintenance, installing IAVA approved patches to enforce server security and maintain system availability. + Maintains system hardening by following DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs). + Utilize approved ticketing system to document troubleshooting steps prior to completing and or escalating to the next level of support. + Optimize system operations and resource utilization, including performing system capacity analysis and planning. Material & Equipment Directly Used: + Basic Office Equipment Working Environment: + Normal office environment + May require support during periods of non-traditional working hours including nights or weekends. Physical Activities: + Must be able to lift / push / pull 40 lbs. unassisted. Qualifications Required Education / Certifications: + Candidates must possess one of the following: + Education, Major Job Activities:
