Job description
Amber Labs Consultancy is seeking a skilled Automation Test Engineer to support a major public sector client on a 12-month fixed term contract. You will join a multidisciplinary, agile delivery team working with a public sector client.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Communication skills?, * Experience designing, implementing, and executing automated tests across APIs, UI, and integration layers.
- A solid understanding of shift-left testing principles, including CI/CD pipelines and embedding quality early in the development lifecycle.
- Awareness of non-functional testing, including:
- Performance
- Security
- Accessibility
- Ability to contribute to shared engineering standards, including test strategy, tool selection, and best practices.
- Strong communication skills, with experience collaborating in agile, multi-disciplinary teams.
- Experience with version control, code reviews, and collaborative engineering practices.
Desirable (Nice-to-Have) Skills
- Experience with cloud-based environments (AWS, Azure, or similar).
- Exposure to containerisation or infrastructure-as-code.
- Familiarity with monitoring, observability, and operational testing concepts.
