Automation Tester

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building robust automated solutions, improving testing efficiency, and working closely with development teams in an Agile environment., As an Automation Tester, you will be responsible for designing and implementing automated testing solutions to validate system quality and support continuous delivery.

You'll play a key role in improving test processes, developing frameworks, and ensuring high standards across the wider engineering function., * Design, develop and maintain automated scripts for both black-box and white-box testing

• Develop a strong technical understanding of the system under test
• Manage execution and reporting of automated test suites (including performance testing where required)
• Work closely with developers to reproduce, diagnose and resolve defects

• Experience writing high-quality object-oriented code (e.g. Java)
• Knowledge of build automation tools (Ant, Maven)
• Experience with version control systems (Git, SVN)
• Familiarity with CI tools such as Jenkins

Please note: You must hold active SC clearance that is transferable and has been used within the last 12 months.

Desirable Experience

• Experience with testing frameworks such as TestNG or xUnit
• Use of defect/test management tools such as JIRA
• Web automation tools such as Selenium
• Experience with automation/configuration tools such as Puppet, Chef or Vagrant
