Job description

As a SAP S/4HANA Controlling (CO) Manager, you will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of SAP S/4HANA CO solutions for clients across diverse industries. You will act as a trusted advisor for financial and performance management transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment between business objectives, S/4HANA capabilities, and SAP best practices. You will oversee project teams, contribute to business development efforts, and drive continuous improvement across finance and controlling engagements.

  • Client Engagement & Advisory - Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on SAP S/4HANA CO topics, providing strategic guidance and industry best practices. Translate business requirements into functional S/4HANA CO designs and ensure solutions support operational, financial, and strategic goals. Lead workshops, process reviews, and solution presentations with senior financial and operational stakeholders.
  • Solution Design & Delivery - Design, Configure, And Implement SAP S/4HANA CO functionalities, including
  • Cost Center Accounting
  • Internal Orders
  • Product Costing
  • Profitability Analysis (CO-PA) and Profitability & Margin Analysis (P&MA)
  • Project Accounting (as applicable) Oversee end-to-end project lifecycle activities such as blueprinting, configuration, testing, cutover planning, and hypercare. Ensure seamless integration with other SAP S/4HANA modules (FI, MM, SD, PP) and leverage advanced capabilities such as Fiori apps, embedded analytics, Universal Journal, and Universal Allocation.
  • Team Leadership & Project Management - Lead and mentor functional consultants and offshore teams, ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to methodologies. Coordinate financial and cross-functional workstreams, managing project timelines, risks, and dependencies. Promote knowledge sharing, coaching, and capability development within the team.
  • Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement - Ensure solutions follow SAP best practices, financial governance frameworks, and compliance standards. Identify opportunities to optimize financial and controlling processes, driving adoption of S/4HANA innovations such as Universal Allocation, embedded analytics, and automation in financial operations. Support clients in their transition from ECC to S/4HANA, including system conversion, process redesign, and activation of new functionalities.
  • Business Development & Thought Leadership - Contribute to proposal development, demos, client presentations, and pre-sales activities related to SAP S/4HANA Finance & Controlling. Develop reusable assets, methodologies, and frameworks for S/4HANA financial transformation projects. Stay up to date on SAP S/4HANA Finance innovations, including analytics, automation, machine learning, and evolving financial processes.

Requirements

Preferred Education - Master's Degree

  • Required Technical And Professional Expertise
  • Strong expertise in SAP CO, including Cost Centers, Internal Orders, Product Costing, CO-PA, and Profitability & Margin Analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance, including Universal Journal, Fiori applications, Universal Allocation, and embedded analytics.
  • Deep understanding of end-to-end financial processes (Record-to-Report, Plan-to-Perform, Product Costing, Profitability Management) and integration with FI, MM, SD, PP and other relevant modules.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into SAP solutions, producing high-quality functional specifications and process documentation.
  • Proven track record leading SAP implementations or S/4HANA transformation projects, covering blueprinting, configuration, testing, cutover, and hypercare.
  • Strong experience managing cross-functional teams, including onshore/offshore consultants and client stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify process improvement opportunities and propose scalable solutions.
  • Deep knowledge of SAP best practices, deployment methodologies, and governance frameworks within consulting environments.
  • Experience supporting or leading pre-sales efforts, including solutioning, effort estimation, and client presentations.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and guide business leaders.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish
