Job description

Our client, a leading organisation in the technology services sector, is hiring a 2nd Line IT Engineer to support a fast-paced, multi-client environment. This role offers the chance to take ownership of escalated technical issues while contributing to project work and continuous service improvement. What you'll do

  • Provide 2nd Line support across customer-facing and remote channels
  • Manage incidents, service requests, and escalations
  • Configure PCs, servers, firewalls, and networking components
  • Complete daily system checks including backups and reporting
  • Maintain documentation and ensure accurate activity logging
  • Support project delivery and internal IT when required
  • Stay current with emerging technologies
  • Communicate updates clearly to customers and stakeholders
  • Assist with quotes for equipment and services You'll work closely with service desk teams, network infrastructure specialists, and customer stakeholders to ensure service quality and SLA performance.

Requirements

  • 3+ years' experience within an MSP or ISP environment
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP & Group Policies
  • Experience with Microsoft Exchange / Exchange Online
  • Office 365 administration including Azure Sync
  • Desktop support across Windows, Mac, and RDS
  • Networking knowledge including TCP/IP
  • Excellent communication and customer-management skills
  • Experience working in time-sensitive, high-pressure environments The ideal candidate will be proactive, commercially aware, and passionate about developing their technical skills in a collaborative, fast-moving setting.
