Joining HPE as a Presales Graduate is an opportunity to build deep technical and commercial foundations at the intersection of technology, customer outcomes, and business impact. You will work alongside experienced Solutions Architects and Account Teams, learning how enterprise technology is designed, positioned, and delivered to solve real customer challenges.

What you'll do
- Partner closely with Sales, Presales, and Channel teams to support customer engagements across the full sales lifecycle.
- Work on real projects under the supervision of technical lead and with customer-nominated representatives to accomplish assigned tasks.
- Learn to understand customer business challenges and translate them into technical solution designs using HPE's portfolio (compute, storage, networking, cloud, and services).
- Support the development of customer presentations, solution proposals, and demonstrations, ensuring technical accuracy and clarity.
- Assist in solution sizing, configuration, and architecture under the guidance of senior Presales professionals.
- Participate in customer meetings, workshops, and technical discussions to build confidence in customer-facing environments.
- Contribute to proofs-of-concept, pilots, and technical validations where required.
- Continuously develop your technical knowledge through formal training, certifications, and on-the-job learning.
- Collaborate across teams to capture feedback from customers and help improve how we position and deliver our solutions.
Additionally, in your first year
- Support the build-out of a new presales and PoC lab in Winnersh. This would include creating and maintaining the reference architectures, sample code, automation playbooks, and test plans to ensure successful demonstrations and PoCs.
- Execute hands-on labs, proofs-of-concept (PoCs), and joint demonstrations to validate interoperability, performance, and security., * Location: Winnersh - To support the first year activity of building out the lab the candidate should be located near the HPE Winnersh office
- Travel: Typically, less than 20% travel for on-site partner workshops, joint customer engagements, lab validation, and industry events; may vary by region and project needs.
Remote / Hybrid Arrangements
- Supports hybrid working: a balance of remote work and scheduled on-site collaboration for labs, workshops, and team events.
- Requires reliable home-office setup and flexibility to engage with partners across time zones for virtual labs and meetings.
Requirements
- A completed bachelor's or master's degree within the last 12 months in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Technology, or a related technical discipline.
- Up to 12 months of relevant experience (internships, placements, projects, or part-time roles welcome).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to different audiences.
- A genuine interest in enterprise technology and how it supports business outcomes.
- Analytical thinking and a structured approach to problem-solving.
- Willingness to learn, ask questions, and continuously improve.
- Develops and maintains awareness of emerging technologies.
