Design Engineer

• Brainstorm around concepts, design in CAD, oversee prototype creation, and monitor tests to achieve successful product outcomes.
• Collaborate with manufacturers and production teams, focusing on Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).Take ownership of the technical development process for the entire product, from concept to the first production run, in close collaboration with the product manager.
• Begin with an idea or concept, sketch the product, create technical drawings using a 3D package, perform simulations and tests, and oversee its realization with support from the internal prototype department.
• Work closely with other designers within the project team, sharing expertise and insights. The candidate's coaching style and collaborative approach will contribute to the growth of the R&D organization.
• Report directly to the R&D Manager.

• A degree in Industrial Engineering (or equivalent through experience) combined with at least 8 years of relevant experience in product design.
• Strong technical knowledge in mechanical and/or electromechanical domains, with excellent logical, abstract, and analytical reasoning skills and strong 3D visualization abilities.
• Proficiency in 3D-CAD software, enabling to translate concepts into detailed designs.
• A solid understanding of common production techniques, with the ability to adapt quickly to new technologies.
• A passion for product development, encompassing both technical execution and functional design elements.
• Strong project management skills, enabling to keep projects on target and within budget while effectively coordinating sub-projects.
• A collaborative team player with a positive, 'can-do' attitude, who actively contributes to group efforts.
• Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively in an international environment.
• Experience with Solidwork = big plus, but not a must. A training will be provided.
• Senior profile with proven experience as a Design Engineer.
