Job description
During this Early Career Program at Rabobank, you will work on your career by becoming part of Team Godzilla, the engineering squad behind Rabobank's Event Streaming Platform. You'll help internal teams use real-time data - from notifying customers about balance updates to enabling instant fraud-detection capabilities. You will onboard users to our Kafka platform, troubleshoot technical issues, and contribute to a scalable, future-proof event-driven architecture.
After completing the program, you will continue your journey as a Junior DevOps Engineer, with opportunities to grow into areas like event streaming, automation, or cloud engineering. Alongside your role, you'll follow a structured learning program that includes technical courses, professional development, and weekly collaboration days with fellow Young Professionals.

During this program at Rabobank, you will work on your career by immediately joining a permanent team, where you will dedicate one day a week to training and development. After completing the program, you will be fully trained as a Dev Ops Engineer and can continue to grow within the organisation. You will build a valuable network, gain experience with a variety of data projects, and develop skills that will benefit you throughout your career.
In Short

- Contributing to new event-driven features and platform improvements, Within this program, you will have the opportunity to get to know yourself, the field, and Rabobank. The program lasts a total of 18 months. You will start the program in a junior position within one team, participate in (online) workshops and training modules with other juniors, and quickly gain practical experience. Together with others, there is room for creativity and initiative to organize events, training sessions, and knowledge-sharing sessions. This way, we continuously improve the program and ourselves! You will easily build a large and valuable network within the bank.
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, Informatics or System and Network Engineering
- Basic experience in at least one of: Python, Java or .NET
- Understanding of software engineering principles and REST APIs
- Interest in event streaming technologies (Kafka experience is a plus)
- You take ownership and show initiative
- You communicate clearly and ask questions when needed
- You are curious, eager to learn and collaborative

- Salary: Gross monthly salary between EUR 3,447 and EUR 4,923 (scale 07) for a 40-hour work week.
