IT Technician

As an IT Technician, your role will be very varied and hands-on involving day to day tasks such as:

• Hardware troubleshooting, break-fix, testing and configuration (Tablets, Tills, Laptops, Routers, Servers, Switches etc)
• Configure networks, servers, switches, and computer hardware
• Carry out scripting with tools such as PowerShell
• Remote server support and upgrades
• Maintain documentation and guides for troubleshooting
• Support operating systems such as Windows, Desktop & Server
• Deploy apps using Virtual Machines (VMWare, Hyper-V etc)
• Occasionally attend customer sites at the start of projects
• Participate in night support once per month

This is a fabulous opportunity for an aspiring IT Technician who brings with them some form of IT Qualification such as a CompTIA A+ Network, Level 3 Diploma in IT, or Computing Degree, with a basic understanding of network fundamentals., * IT Qualification such as CompTIA Network+, Computing Degree etc

• Basic understanding of Network Fundamentals
• Knowledge of virtualisation would be hugely advantageous
• Excellent interpersonal skills and sense of humour
• Ability to work nightshifts (re-imbursed)

£30K + 26 days annual leave, time and a half payment (roughly £288 per month extra)

Requirement for Night-Work (between the hours of 9pm-6am) once per month which is paid at time and a half - this would be done from home.
