Job description
Design Engineer role based near Dartford, joining a growing family-run access equipment business delivering high-profile construction projects nationwide., As a Design Engineer, you will play a key role in producing safe, practical, and compliant designs to support access equipment installations across live construction sites. Based near Dartford with regular site visits, the Design Engineer will work closely with internal teams, contractors, and customers to ensure designs are delivered accurately and on time., * Producing detailed design and installation drawings using AutoCAD and 3D design software
- Designing interfaces, fixings, and tie arrangements with structures and scaffolding
- Interpreting site drawings, load data, and technical information
- Supporting projects from concept through to site handover
- Updating and improving existing designs in line with current standards and legislation
- Liaising with site teams, contractors, and internal departments

Requirements
To be successful as a Design Engineer, you will ideally have:
- Experience within construction, access equipment, or design engineering environments
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and 3D design software
- A mechanical, structural, or fabrication design background
- A practical, detail-focused, problem-solving mindset
- The ability to manage workload independently while collaborating with others
