Are you an experienced IT leader who thrives in regulated manufacturing environments and wants to make a real impact on compliance, efficiency, and digital transformation? Join us as IT Manager, where you will be responsible for the full IT landscape of our pharmaceutical manufacturing site and play a key role in ensuring reliable, secure, and compliant IT operations that support our strategic and operational goals., As IT Manager, you will be accountable for the full IT landscape at site level, including:
IT Operations & End-User Support
Ensuring high availability, performance, and support of infrastructure, end-user devices, and manufacturing, laboratory, and office systems.
ERP System Ownership
Acting as the technical ERP owner, overseeing availability, access management, change control, integrations, and compliance with GxP and data integrity requirements.
Cybersecurity Oversight
Maintaining a strong site cybersecurity posture aligned with corporate standards, including endpoint protection, network security, access management, and backup & recovery.
IT Governance, SOPs & Compliance
Owning and maintaining IT SOPs, supporting CSV activities, and representing IT during internal and external audits (e.g. FDA, SwissMedic).
Budget & Vendor Management
Managing the site IT budget (OPEX & CAPEX), forecasting costs, controlling vendor spend, and supporting business cases for IT investments.
Business Projects & Continuous Improvement
Actively contributing to system implementations, upgrades, and digitalisation initiatives, translating business needs into compliant IT solutions.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
Leading and developing the site IT team, collaborating closely with site departments and corporate IT (including offshore teams in India), and advising site leadership on IT risks and priorities., At Ophtapharm AG, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of our IT operations and contribute to delivering reliable, secure, and compliant IT systems that support the manufacturing of high-quality sterile ophthalmic products. Requirements
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of IT experience, including 5+ years in an IT leadership role
- Proven experience in a regulated environment (pharma, biotech, medical devices preferred)
Technical & Professional Expertise
- Strong hands-on background in IT infrastructure, end-user support, and ERP systems
- Solid experience with GxP systems, CSV, IT SOPs, and controlled documentation
- Good understanding of cybersecurity controls in regulated environments
- Experience managing IT budgets, vendors, and external service providers
Personal Competencies
- German as a first language and fluent English
- Ability to balance operational demands with governance and compliance
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Clear communicator with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Confident working under audit and inspection pressure
