GDIT has an exciting opportunity to support the Enterprise Mission Information Technology Services II (EMITS II) program supporting U.S. Army Europe and Africa's (USAREUR-AF) mission in Wiesbaden, Germany., The Project Manager will participate in cross-functional efforts within the United States Army Europe and Africa (USAREUR-AF) G6 Policies, Programs, and Projects Division (PPP) representing the Cloud Management Office (CMO) to execute cloud projects supporting U.S. Army Europe's mission in Germany and across Europe. This position oversees delivery from planning through implementation, ensuring projects meet mission needs, schedule, and compliance requirements while coordinating closely with engineering, cyber, sustainment, and partner engagement teams.
As a key member of the Cloud Management Office (CMO), you will be the central figure responsible for driving cloud-focused projects from conception to completion. You will orchestrate efforts across multiple technical and non-technical teams including engineering, cybersecurity, and sustainment to ensure new cloud capabilities are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in full alignment with mission requirements.
This role is about more than just tracking tasks; you are a strategic integrator. You will directly enable warfighter mission success by managing the projects that modernize and secure critical command and control systems throughout the European and African theaters.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- End-to-End Project Leadership: Own the entire lifecycle of complex cloud and IT infrastructure projects, from initial planning and requirements gathering through to final implementation and closeout.
- Strategic Planning & Scheduling: Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, work breakdown structures (WBS), and integrated master schedules using tools like MS Project.
- Resource & Stakeholder Management: Skillfully coordinate project resources, manage dependencies, and set clear expectations with government customers, engineering teams, and external partners.
- Risk & Reporting: Proactively identify, track, and mitigate project risks. You will be responsible for providing clear and concise status reports, budget updates, and leadership briefings.
- Governance & Compliance: Navigate the DoD IT governance landscape, ensuring all project activities adhere to Change Advisory Board (CAB) processes and Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements.
- Effective Communication: Translate complex technical details into clear, actionable updates for a wide range of audiences, from technical engineers to senior leadership.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science and at least 10+ years of related experience
- Experience: A minimum of 10 years of professional experience, with at least 6 years dedicated to leading complex IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, or cloud projects within a DoD environment.
- Technical Skills: Strong foundational knowledge of cloud service models and platforms (AWS, Azure, and GCP), Strong understanding of project management principles (PMBOK, Agile, hybrid models) Familiarity with Army IT systems, Change Management processes, and RMF; Ability to create schedules (e.g. MS Project) and track dependencies.
- Clearance: Active DoD TS with the ability to obtain an SCI is required
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship required
- ROLE REQUIREMENTS: Experience briefing leadership, preparing reports, and managing project documentation; Ability to interface with technical and non-technical stakeholders across military, civilian, and contractor lines; Strong organizational and problem-solving skills; ability to manage shifting priorities in dynamic environments; Familiarity with Joint or Coalition IT integration preferred

Work Requirements
Years of Experience, The likely salary range for this position is $110,500 - $149,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.
