Job description
As a Radar System Engineer, you'll collaborate in a multidisciplinary team to specify, design, develop, and validate radar systems. Project teams typically include a radar architect, as well as system, hardware, software, and test engineers, along with specialists in radar design, signal processing, safety, and cybersecurity. In coordination with the team, the system engineer oversees the radar's global design, balancing functional performance, quality, and cost to achieve optimal outcomes. This role involves both high-level radar design (defining new capabilities and functionalities) and hands-on problem-solving, which may require in-depth knowledge of components or field data analysis.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or Applied Mathematics
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams
- Willingness to learn and grow in the field
- Fluent in spoken and written English and Dutch
- Preferred experience with Matlab/Simulink and C++
- Must pass a Dutch Security check to receive clearance, as Thales is a Defense Company
