Systems Manager - Cloud & Infrastructure

Our client, a successful and growing manufacturing company based in Houston, is seeking an experienced IT Systems Manager. This is a hands-on technical leader responsible for the availability, security, and evolution of the company's cloud and infrastructure environments. This role manages a small team of 3-4 Cloud Systems Engineers while remaining actively involved in architecture, troubleshooting, and delivery of key initiatives. The Systems Manager supports a global, 24x7 environment and partners with IT leadership to align infrastructure strategies with business needs. They work a hybrid schedule with 4 days in the office and 1 from home., * Lead and mentor a team of Cloud Systems Engineers; manage workload, performance, and technical growth

• Serve as escalation point for complex infrastructure and cloud issues
• Own Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments (Azure AD, VMs, Storage, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune)
• Oversee Windows and hybrid infrastructure including AD, DNS, DHCP, GPOs, file/print services, and Linux systems
• Ensure effective backup, disaster recovery, business continuity, and monitoring practices
• Architect and lead infrastructure and cloud initiatives and upgrades
• Improve security, compliance, and SOX-related controls through automation and documentation
• Manage vendors, licensing, infrastructure inventory, and contracted services
• Participate in on-call rotation and ensure operational SLAs are met

• Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of IT infrastructure and cloud experience
• 2+ years in a technical leadership or supervisory role
• Experience supporting global, 24x7 environments
• Hands-on experience with Azure and Microsoft 365 (AWS/GCP a plus), * Azure, AWS, or Microsoft 365 certifications
• CCNA, Network+, Security+, or ITIL
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, Windows/Linux infrastructure, networking, security tools, and backup solutions
• Automation experience with PowerShell, Azure CLI, Terraform, or Ansible
