Job description

Join AXA Global Healthcare as a Front End Designer / Developer and play a key role in shaping our digital presence! We're seeking a talented designer/developer to work primarily on our websites and web portals, with occasional contributions to mobile applications. In this position, you'll maintain and enhance our library of front-end assets, creating visually compelling, user-friendly, and accessibility-compliant digital experiences that set new standards.

As a Front End Designer / Developer your expertise will be instrumental in driving lead generation through our conversion rate optimisation A/B testing program. Collaborating closely with wider marketing teams, business units, and off-shore engineers, you'll enjoy a role that offers both transparency and autonomy, empowering you to shape and meet your own KPIs in a dynamic and innovative environment.

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events. We're also happy to consider flexible working arrangements, which you can discuss with Talent Acquisition.

What you'll be doing:

  • Design, build, and maintain reusable front-end website components that are responsive, accessible, and compliant with our styles and standards, ensuring seamless integration with Optimizely CMS (v12).
  • Customise, iterate, and manage the housekeeping of existing components, collaborating with back-end engineers to deliver accessibility enhancements and business-specific features such as forms and widgets.
  • Collaborate with marketing stakeholders to develop and prioritise a backlog of CRO-focused A/B tests, designing and implementing experiments using Optimizely Web Experimentation.
  • Support the analysis of experiments by ensuring accurate tracking, setup, and implementation of necessary front-end changes based on test results.
  • Audit third-party web tags and snippets periodically, working with the data team to manage Google Tag Manager configurations for event and conversion tracking.
  • Follow scrum project management principles, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, task management, and coordinating with off-shore engineers to ensure timely delivery of deliverables.
  • Maintain clear documentation and communication of tasks, progress, and priorities within an agile working environment.
  • Provide support to broader marketing activities as a "t-shaped" professional, covering additional departmental duties as required with appropriate training.

Requirements

Do you have experience in UX?, * Proven experience in front-end development or related roles, with strong HTML and CSS skills.

  • Experience working within a performance-driven marketing team, with a track record of delivering measurable results.
  • Working knowledge of JavaScript frameworks, with React.js experience considered a distinct advantage.
  • Experience working with headful CMS platforms, particularly Optimizely (formerly Episerver), is desirable.
  • Familiarity with A/B testing tools, especially Optimizely Web Experimentation, and experience implementing and troubleshooting Google Tag Manager.
  • Demonstrated ability in UX/UI design for marketing activation, with experience in webpage development and tools such as Figma being advantageous.
  • Solid analytical skills, including experience with Google Analytics, interpreting data, performing calculations, and reporting.
  • Proven ability to work independently with new software and tools in an agile/scrum environment, maintaining high attention to detail and ensuring accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA) are met.

As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
