Job description

The role asks for a Solution Architect for Stores/retail payments architecture , design and value delivery. This involves having in depth knowhow of in store payments and a fair idea of Onsite payments business., Architecting F2F Solutions: Design end-to-end architecture for in-store payments, integrating POS systems with payment terminals, acquirers, and gateways. Hardware & Software Integration: Lead the selection and integration of card acceptance hardware (payment terminals) and software modules. Modernization: Drive the transition from legacy payment infrastructures to modern, flexible solutions (e.g., cloud-enabled, API-driven, microservices). Compliance & Security: Ensure all in-store payment flows adhere to strict security standards, including PCI-DSS, EMV, and SCA (Strong Customer Authentication). Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor to senior business leaders, leading workshops to translate business requirements into technical blueprints. Performance Optimization: Ensure high availability, low latency, and resilience in payment processing to maximize transaction success rates and improve customer experience. Project Leadership: Provide technical governance from design through testing, deployment, and go-live.

Requirements

Experience: 5 20+ years of experience in the payments industry, with a strong background in software engineering, technical consulting, or enterprise architecture. Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of payment processing, clearing and settlement, authorization, reconciliation, and exception handling. Technical Expertise: Proficiency in microservices, API integration (RESTful), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and containerization. Message Standards: Expert knowledge of ISO 20022 messaging (including mapping and validation). Soft Skills: Strong communication, stakeholder management, and ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Your Profile Essential skills/knowledge/experience:

In store and online payments industry Building architect diagrams and wireframes. Desirable skills/knowledge/experience:

Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, GCP). Knowledge of fraud prevention, risk controls, and real-time monitoring. Understanding of omnichannel payment strategies.
