System Tester/Test Lead/Automation Test; SC CLEARED,Junit, Cucumber, Selenium, Spring, PostgreSQL

• Lead and/or contribute to the end-to-end testing life cycle: planning, execution, reporting, and sign-off.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using JUnit, Cucumber, and Selenium.
• Deliver system, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing across microservice-based applications.
• Perform Back End and data validation using PostgreSQL.
• Use WireMock to mock and stub external services.
• Plan and execute performance and load testing using JMeter, analysing and reporting results.
• Work closely with engineers on Spring-based applications to ensure testability and quality.
• Manage defects, risks, dependencies, and escalations through to resolution.
• Participate in agile ceremonies, workshops, defect triage, and stakeholder sessions.
• Promote best practices in automation, CI/CD, and quality engineering.
• Provide mentoring or leadership where appropriate to experience level.

• Experience testing Spring/microservice-based systems.
• Good working knowledge of PostgreSQL, including validation queries.
• Experience using WireMock.
• Hands-on experience with JMeter for performance and load testing.
• Experience working in agile teams with CI/CD pipelines (eg Jenkins, GitHub).
• Experience with Git, Jira, Confluence.
• Strong analytical skills and clear communication.

Desirable

• Experience in a senior or test lead capacity.
• Defining test strategies and coordinating testing across teams.
• Mentoring testers or automation engineers.
