IT Security Officer

We have a new opportunity for an IT Security Officer to join our IT Services team. This technical role is a key part of our cyber security strategy securing our central data within our campuses, cloud services and prisons locations.

Working within a wider infrastructure team, you will carry out dedicated security processes and procedures. You will respond to security incidents, vulnerability scans and proactively carry out updates to systems. You will actively be involved in maintaining the organisations security accreditations of ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus. This may involve periodic visits to prison locations throughout the south of the UK.

You will provide knowledge of system security vulnerabilities and remediation techniques, recommending how to optimise security monitoring tools based on threat and vulnerability discoveries. You will ensure an efficient customer service experience and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You will carry out project work around security improvements as part of our digital strategy.
