Data Operations Manager

The Data Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and efficiency of our modern data platform. Working at the intersection of data engineering, platform operations, and team enablement, this role owns the operational health of our Snowflake data warehouse, dbt transformation layer, and ELT pipelines. What you'll be doing:

• Owning and optimising the operational health of Snowflake, dbt, and ELT pipelines, ensuring performance, reliability, and proactive issue management.
• Monitoring and managing Snowflake costs through credit consumption analysis, warehouse configuration, and budget forecasting with Finance.
• Establishing and enforcing data quality frameworks, access controls, and incident management processes to maintain governance and compliance.
• Developing and maintaining runbooks, supporting best practices for dbt development, and championing observability tools to enhance data platform visibility.
• Collaborating closely with Data Engineering, Analytics, BI, Security, and Compliance teams to drive infrastructure improvements, meet audit requirements, and prioritize platform reliability.

Do you have experience in SQL?, * Proven experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or data platform roles.

• Strong hands-on expertise in Snowflake administration and SQL optimization
• Proficiency with dbt (Core or Cloud), including incremental models, macros, and testing frameworks.
• Experience managing ELT pipelines at scale using tools like Fivetran, Airbyte, or custom solutions.
• Solid understanding of DataOps principles and CI/CD practices for data, including version control, automated testing, and deployment pipelines.
