Job description

As a Systems Engineer within the Platform as a Service team, you will be responsible for the configuration and support across a variety of on premise and cloud-based platform technologies such as Identity and Access Management, Messaging, Microsoft 365 and Azure.

Requirements

Do you have a valid Driving License license?, Do you have experience in Windows?, Your role is to support our business-as-usual initiative by working collaboratively with other teams and ensuring regular maintenance activities are carried out and completed on time whilst also providing incident/request/problem support within the agreed service levels within the ITIL Framework. You will possess excellent problem-solving skills to investigate, diagnose and rectify issues relating to infrastructure services., * Experience in supporting identity and security related technologies such as Active Directory, Certificate Services, MS Entra ID, Entra Connect, AD FS, and SailPoint IdentityNow

  • Experience in the support and administration of the Microsoft collaboration stack for products such as Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, Exchange & SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive for Business
  • Good Understanding of Azure Services and cost optimisation
  • First-hand knowledge in supporting large complex infrastructure environments
  • Good understanding of IT Health check vulnerability assessments and remediation activities
  • Experience with cloud-based Infrastructure Management and automation tools such as Azure Security Centre, Azure Sentinel, Log Analytics, Advanced Threat Protection and ServiceNow

This is a hybrid role, based at either Kidlington or Southampton. Applicants need to live within 2 hours of the base location due to the call out requirement.

Capability to travel across the Force is required in order to undertake assignments in a timely manner and work flexibly. Due to unsocial hours and personal safety for lone working public transport may not be suitable. For this reason, a full driving license is considered essential for this role.
