Job description
In this role, you'll provide technical support and development expertise to drive the direction and enhancement of our Chorus core products, their surrounding technologies, and actively seek opportunities for innovation when possible. Our technical specialists work closely with clients, the wider business community, and operational teams to gather requirements and create solutions that are fit for purpose and adhere to best practices. They collaborate with these areas to highlight opportunities and provide updates on ongoing development initiatives.
You'll serve as a reference point for development resources, guiding them through the entire development lifecycle. You'll support development leads in shaping the technical direction of Chorus and maintaining frequent engagement with all operational areas to ensure that delivered solutions are user-friendly, optimised, efficient, and secure.
What You Will Get To Do:
- Deliver solutions that meet business requirements, ensuring adherence to design and coding standards.
- Contribute to simultaneous development for both releases and client builds.
- Produce technical designs as needed, and review designs from other team members, suggesting improvements or alternative approaches.
- Act as the primary technical expert within the build team, offering support and guidance.
- Ensure that all documentation related to development and release is clear, accessible, and available to the build team.
- Provide high-level estimates for design and testing.
- Take responsibility for resolving defects raised by business stakeholders, ensuring timely fixes and updates during the release cycle.
- Represent the Chorus Build Team in meetings and workshops with senior management and external client groups.
Requirements
- Experience working with Chorus
- Proficiency in Structured Query Language (SQL)
- Ability to perform well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proven track record in troubleshooting
- Excellent analytical and technical skills
- Confidence in decision-making, with no negative impact
- Leadership and coaching capabilities
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to adapt your style to different audiences
