Job description
- Provides senior-level UNIX/Linux systems administration support for enterprise environments, ensuring the availability, security, and performance of mission-critical systems.
- Responsible for installing, configuring, hardening, and maintaining UNIX/Linux operating systems in compliance with organizational and cybersecurity requirements.
- Supports system monitoring, patching, vulnerability remediation, and incident response while collaborating with network and cybersecurity teams to sustain secure, reliable operations.
- Plays a key role in supporting mission operations through proactive system management, troubleshooting, documentation, and continuous improvement of system processes.
Requirements
Do you have experience in UX?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Science, Business Administration, or Mathematics.
- Certifications: UNIX Certified Administrator, RHCE, RHCSA, or RHCA.
- 4 years using and maintaining UNIX or RedHat Systems.
- 2 years with HP-UX, Solaris, or RedHat Linux-based applications.
- 2 years direct experience with U.S. military command and control or commercial LAN/WAN systems.
Physical and Mental Qualifications:
- Ability to handle multiple priority and changes in priorities in an everchanging environment.
- Be able to maintain awareness during scheduled working hours.
- Prolonged periods sitting or standing at desk and working on a computer (mouse and keyboard)
- Able to lift up to 15 pounds.
- Excellent verbal and written communication; good command of the English language
- Execute tasks independently and work as a team.
- Learns and memories routine tasks.
