Job description

We're looking for a commercially minded Data & Analytics Engineer to join our Business Intelligence team. This is a client-facing role delivering high-quality analytics and actionable insight across fast-paced, commercially demanding sectors, including Consumer Electronics.

Combining strong stakeholder engagement with hands-on technical expertise, you'll respond to on-demand analytical requests, uncover trends within complex datasets, and translate data into clear, commercially relevant recommendations. You'll also play a key role in driving automation, simplification and AI adoption, while maintaining high standards of data quality and governance

What You'll Do

  • Own end-to-end delivery of Analysis & insight outputs, ensuring accuracy, quality and timeliness
  • Translate business questions into data-led solutions and present clear, commercially relevant recommendations
  • Extract, manipulate and analyse data using SQL, Excel (Power Query), Power BI and Python where applicable
  • Build scalable analytics solutions and maintain reliable ETL-style processes
  • Develop impactful Power BI dashboards and data visualisations of analysis to share with client contacts
  • Identify trends, risks and performance drivers within complex EPOS and sales datasets
  • Drive simplification, automation and AI adoption across analytics processes

Requirements

Do you have experience in Sales?, * Strong experience in an analytical or insight role within a fast-paced, client-facing environment

  • Advanced SQL skills for data extraction and interrogation
  • Advanced Excel skills, including Power Query and complex data manipulation
  • Strong experience building Power BI reports end-to-end
  • Experience in data engineering, ETL processes or data warehousing
  • Experience working with EPOS and sales data
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and tight deadlines
  • Confident communicator, able to present insight to senior stakeholders
  • Highly organised, detail-focused and commercially aware

Desirable

  • Python for analytics or automation
  • Exposure to Azure data platforms (e.g. Data Factory)
  • Experience with Power Apps / Power Automate
  • Practical application of AI within analytics
  • Experience in Consumer Electronics or FMCG

Hours: 9am-5.30pm Mon-Fri. The role requires some activity outside of normal working hours and or weekend working. This may include staying away from home and working unsociable hours occasionally.
