The Counter Terrorism Policing (CTP) Business Change Team has an exciting opportunity to help deliver our portfolio of change across the CTP network.
Joining our rapidly growing Business Change team, we're looking for a Business Change Lead to help our business understand, prepare, adopt and embed highly complex and diverse change. It's your chance to play a part in a challenge that's as important as it gets: protecting the UK and its communities.
We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic team member with strong knowledge and experience of the theory and practical application of Change Management. As a Business Change Lead you will be responsible for leadership of application of the Business Change framework, tools and methodology to complex projects and programmes to implement sustainable change across the national Counter Terrorism Policing Network.
You will have a varied role, where no two days are the same. You will join the team with a good understanding of change management, but you will have opportunities and support to grow and develop your skills further to become a specialist in your field. You will work as part of a busy team, supporting the Head of Business Change, leading and developing a team of Business Change Managers, and working closely with our change network and stakeholders., CTP aims to create an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere and culture and an environment where all our people feel a strong sense of belonging and are well supported to reach their full potential. Vetting
This post requires access to the most sensitive intelligence material on a daily basis. Applicants must hold or be prepared to undergo National Security Vetting (NSV) Developed Vetting (DV) level before taking up the post.
This post requires British nationality (some dual nationals may be ineligible) and a Developed Vetting (DV) clearance.
As the post holder will have access to very sensitive information, there are limitations on travelling to a small number of countries and we will undertake additional security checks as part of the recruitment process. Applications from candidates with close connections to certain countries may take considerably longer to process, or in some cases result in a withdrawal of an offer of employment. Requirements
Do you have experience in Team management?, * Strong knowledge and experience of the theory and practical application of Change Management, ideally using established change management methodologies (for example, Prosci, APMG Change Management)
- Ability to provide evidence-based assessments on the impacts of change and the success of change interventions
- Ability to interact, negotiate and build strong working relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to provide effective challenge to leaders across the organisation in order to lead change and improve service delivery and to inform and influence decision making
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, including experience in developing concise briefings for senior leaders
- Proven leadership and management skills and experience, with ability to coach and support staff development
- Confidence and initiative to plan and prioritise your efforts and to work both independently and collaboratively to tight deadlines.
- Strong IT skills in the use of Microsoft products, especially MS Word and PowerPoint.
You might have some experience:
- Working for a (local) government, security agency or within a policing environment
- Experience and knowledge of knowledge of benefits identification, tracking and realisation processes and techniques, within a large project/programme/portfolio or business environment

Essential Experience
- Strong knowledge and experience of the theory and practical application of Change Management (including assessing impact of change, ensuring business readiness and dealing with resistance, and effecting behavioural/culture change).
- Experience of providing advice / consultancy on business change to influence decision makers, develop solutions and improve performance
- Experience of facilitating groups (including senior leadership teams), balancing conflicting opinions, building consensus as necessary.
- Experience of listening and understanding to the needs and experiences of customers and using these to develop solutions or interventions to achieve organisational outcomes.
- Knowledge of programme and project management approaches such as MSP, PRINCE2 and Agile.
- Experience of managing a complex set of tasks and prioritisation, with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience of leading a team of Change Managers and providing guidance and quality control of their work.
Desirable Experience
- A clear understanding and knowledge of CT Policing including its London (MPS), National (UK Force wide) and international responsibilities; including a clear understanding of CT Policing relationships to Government, security and intelligence agencies and legislative process including their governance arrangements is desirable.
- Experience and knowledge of knowledge of benefits identification, tracking and realisation processes and techniques within a large project/programme/portfolio or business environment.
- Previous experience of working in government, a security agency or policing., * Essential:
