Job description

A large IT Managed Service Provider is looking for a hands-on Desktop Support Engineer to work with their end client in Hull. You'll play a key role in keeping people connected and productive - installing and maintaining hardware, supporting software deployments, and resolving day-to-day technical issues on-site and remotely.

What you'll do:

  • Install and configure desktops, laptops, phones, and peripherals
  • Support Windows-based systems and approved software packages
  • Troubleshoot printers, scanners, and AV conferencing systems
  • Handle firmware updates, patches, and security remediation
  • Manage mobile devices and coordinate with third-party vendors
  • Assist with moves, changes, and disaster recovery tests

Requirements

  • Proven experience in IT or desktop support
  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS, networking, and hardware setup
  • Experience with Active Directory, antivirus tools, and remote support
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Proactive, customer-focused, and a true team player
