Job description
A large IT Managed Service Provider is looking for a hands-on Desktop Support Engineer to work with their end client in Hull. You'll play a key role in keeping people connected and productive - installing and maintaining hardware, supporting software deployments, and resolving day-to-day technical issues on-site and remotely.
What you'll do:
- Install and configure desktops, laptops, phones, and peripherals
- Support Windows-based systems and approved software packages
- Troubleshoot printers, scanners, and AV conferencing systems
- Handle firmware updates, patches, and security remediation
- Manage mobile devices and coordinate with third-party vendors
- Assist with moves, changes, and disaster recovery tests
Requirements
- Proven experience in IT or desktop support
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, networking, and hardware setup
- Experience with Active Directory, antivirus tools, and remote support
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Proactive, customer-focused, and a true team player
