Job description
- Build and operate an internal 5G campus network lab (core, RAN, RF measurements)
- Design, configure, and operate end-to-end 5G campus networks (Layers 1-7)
- Define processes, documentation, and training materials for future customer roll-outs
- Plan and validate RF coverage, conduct on-site surveys and acceptance tests
- Interface with external 5G core vendors for enablement and certification
- Support maintenance of existing microwave and wireless networks when required
- Act as technical expert in customer meetings
Requirements
Do you have experience in Ethernet?, * Solid switching and routing experience (vendor-agnostic)
- Strong understanding of wireless and RF fundamentals (e.g., WLAN, point-to-point links)
- Fluent German (minimum C1, customer-facing)
- Willingness to work on-site in Hoppegarten
Nice-to-Have
- Experience in network design
- Knowledge of mobile networks (4G/5G architecture, core and RAN)
- Experience with RF planning tools for mobile networks
- Class B driving licence

- Preference for fully remote work, * Minimum 1 year of networking experience (junior and senior candidates welcome)
- Formal university degree not required; qualification such as "Fachinformatiker" is sufficient

Location & Travel
- Primary workplace: Office and lab in Hoppegarten
- Limited travel (approx. 1-5% within the region during working hours; pool car provided)
- Potential for 1 home-office day per week after approximately 1-1.5 years once internal processes are established

With around 20 employees and a strong reputation in point-to-point microwave and enterprise networking solutions, the company is now building a new 5G campus network business unit.
