Join our multidisciplinary, international team of highly experienced consultants, engineers, and software developers., As a Business Intelligence (BI) Consultant, you transform complex data into actionable insights that support strategic and operational decision-making. You design, build, and maintain scalable BI solutions with a strong focus on Power BI and SQL, while demonstrating an excellent ability to understand client and business contexts and translate them into meaningful BI concepts. You also leverage synthetic data generation to enable testing, modeling, and analytics where real data is limited or sensitive.
You will be part of an international team which works on advanced web applications using modern software languages and frameworks. You enjoy mentoring, excel at solving complex challenges, continuously seek to learn and adopt modern technologies, and are passionate about guiding a product from concept to client delivery. Your responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain advanced Power BI datasets, dashboards and reports
- Translate business and client needs into relevant BI concepts, KPIs, and data models
- Work closely with stakeholders to deeply understand business processes, goals, and challenges
- Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, views, and stored procedures
- Design and manage robust data models (star/snowflake schemas) and DAX calculations
- Generate and use synthetic data for development, testing, validation, and scenario analysis, e.g. using Python or Javascript
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance across BI solutions
- Optimize Power BI performance, refresh strategies, and security (e.g. RLS)
- Document BI solutions, data definitions, and assumptions clearly for business users

Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Business Intelligence Consultant or similar role
- Advanced Power BI expertise, including:
-PowerQuery (M) for ETL
-Data modeling and semantic layer design
-Complex DAX measures
-Performance tuning and optimization
- Advanced SQL skills, including query optimization, CTEs, window functions, and joins
- Strong ability to understand client and business contexts and translate them into effective BI solutions
- Experience creating and using synthetic data for analytics, testing, and prototyping
- Solid understanding of relational databases and data structures
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- A curiosity for technology and innovation
- A proactive attitude, able to work independently and in a team environment
- Good English communication skills, both verbal and written with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

The following experience/skills in any of the following fields are a plus:
- Data science and Machine learning
- AI assisted development (e.g. PowerBI MCP)
- Experience with Azure Data Platform (Azure Postgres, Fabric)
- Knowledge of ETL/ELT pipelines and data warehousing concepts
- Experience with Python or R for data analysis or synthetic data generation
- Familiarity with data governance, privacy, and data quality principles
- Experience working in client-facing or consultancy environments
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and React, with understanding of their ecosystems
- Experience with server-side development with Node.js and related technologies
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and web services
