Junior Design Engineer

Are you a recent engineering graduate looking to start your career in design? Charles Thompson Ltd is offering an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Junior Design Engineer, working on the design of pressure vessels, heat exchangers and process equipment for a wide range of industries.

This role is ideal for someone eager to learn from experienced engineers and develop specialist skills within a respected, long-established manufacturer.

What you'll be doing:

• Supporting the design of pressure vessels & heat exchangers
• Producing fabrication drawings using AutoCAD / Autodesk
• Assisting with design calculations and technical documentation
• Learning relevant design codes and standards
• Working closely with senior engineers, production and quality teams
• Liaising with clients and suppliers as your experience grows
• Contributing to continuous improvement and problem solving

Do you have experience in Continuous improvement?, * Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering or similar

• Basic knowledge of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes
• Experience with AutoCAD or other CAD packages (advantageous)
• Strong attention to detail and a logical approach
• Good communication skills and willingness to learn
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Positive, motivated attitude with an interest in engineered equipment
