Job description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Engineer with strong hands-on experience in enterprise LAN/WAN environments and a solid background supporting large-scale data centers. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining and enhancing the VWGoA network landscape, providing L3 support, driving continuous improvement, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams across server, storage, cloud and security domains., * Demonstrable experience creating Python & Ansible automation, with proven track record of using CI/CD development concepts.

L3 support to resolve VWGoA incidents in support of their infrastructure.

Perform analysis of VWGoA infrastructure environment and resolve issues/problems accordingly.

Participate in cross functional technical projects involving server, storage and network.

Evaluate vendor requirements and provide recommendations (primarily Cisco, Arista, F5, Infoblox, HPE, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Netscout).

Respond to service requests from VWGoA support groups, vendors and suppliers.

Maintain documentation of VWGoA environments.
-
Coordinate patching/upgrade activities for critical VWGoA Network components.
-
Support during the weekend when required for all locations for any issues requiring VWGoA support (on-call rotation).

Ability to engage team members and coordinate activates and goals.

Participate with Sr. VWGoA Technicians in project and maintenance duties.

Develop, Create, Review and Update documentation as required.

Assist with project coordination and development.

Maintain the integrity of the VWGoA in accordance with policy and best practices.

The ability to direct the work of others, while assisting them.

The demonstrated ability to design and layout network infrastructure.

The ability and initiative to counsel with upper management on project design and best practice recommendations.

- Excellent communication skills both written and spoken (English).

- Simple business analyst skills such as requirements identification., * 3-7 years' experience in an Enterprise Infrastructure Environment.
- Efficient in scripting.
- Ability to self-direct and work independently as required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (Technical and Non-Technical).
- Extremely "Detail Oriented" individual with the ability to multitask.
- Positive mental attitude, solution architect, team player.
- Effective communications in English.
Education:
- CCIE Route / Switch or CCIE Service Provider, or multiple Cisco CCNP certifications.
- Completion of a bachelor's degree with course work in computer science, or equivalent work experience in the industry.
