Job description
- Design and review electricity infrastructure projects up to 33kV
- Produce compliant budget and detailed designs
- Ensure designs meet legislation, industry standards, adopting utility specs, and HSEQ requirements
- Deliver designs on time and in line with commercial requirements
- Review external designs and obtain IDNO/DNO approvals
- Provide design support to Clients, Business Development, Technical, and Operations teams
- Support projects through to successful delivery and handover
- Maintain strong stakeholder communication and customer service
Requirements
Do you have experience in Microsoft Office?, * Electrical design experience on DNO/IDNO networks and substations up to 33kV
- Knowledge of UK standards, ENA G81, NERS, CDM regulations, and utility adoption processes
- Experience with pre-construction and feasibility in the utilities sector
- Ability to carry out Earthing designs and understand DNO diversion solutions
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to meet timescales
- Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and electrical design software
- Strong communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills
- Target-driven, proactive, and customer-focused
- Preferably an Engineering degree and professional accreditation (IEng/CEng)
