Job description

To act as the operational guardian of the "Fundamentals" on the shop floor, ensuring that all products leaving the Snetterton site meet our strict Quality and Food Safety standards.

This role is the technical backbone of the department, supporting the QFS Manager by executing monitoring plans, leading shop-floor investigations and coaching operational teams to maintain a "Right First Time" culture.

  1. Operational Support & Technical Guidance
  • Act as the primary technical reference for Production and Maintenance teams regarding Quality standards and specifications.
  • Execute and verify the daily Quality Control plans, ensuring all CCPs (Critical Control Points) and oPRPs are monitored and recorded correctly.
  • Support the QFS Manager in the deployment of the annual Quality Strategy, translating high-level goals into daily shop-floor checks.
  1. Governance & Audit Readiness
  • Conduct internal audits (GMP, Hygiene, Glass & Hard Plastic, Traceability) to ensure the site remains "Audit Ready" every day.
  • Maintain the documentation of the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring accurate records for FSSC 22000 compliance.
  • Manage the calibration line equipment, ensuring data reliability.
  1. Incident Management & Problem Solving
  • Lead immediate investigations into Quality Incidents (A/B risks) and Non-Conformances on the line.
  • Manage the "Hold & Release" process: Block non-conforming stock physically and in the system (SAP) to prevent bad product from reaching the customer.
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for operational deviations and follow up on Corrective Actions (CAPA) to prevent recurrence.
  1. Culture & Coaching
  • Train and coach operators on Food Safety Fundamentals (Hygiene, Foreign Body prevention, HACCP awareness).
  • Foster a proactive quality culture by encouraging operators to report "Near Misses" or potential risks.
  • Prepare and visualize Quality KPIs (e.g., consumer complaints, internal defects) on the shop floor boards to engage the team.

Requirements
